A Few of My Favorite Things

Inspiration

2 Dec

I recognize that I am no Oprah, but today I am sharing a sampling of things I love.  This is the season of giving, and any of them would make a lovely gift for a special person in your life (or for yourself!)  I personally own and use each of these items, and hope you can get some inspiration from my favorite things.

Pura:  This is a smart home fragrance device.  Pura offers a plethora of scent options from many of top brands, like Nest, LAFCO, Thymes, and Archipelago.  The device has two scent bays so you can switch between them, and you can set scent schedules and control the device from the Pura app.

Nordstrom Moonlight pajamas:  I really love putting these PJs on at night.  They are super soft and comfy, a twist on the classic menswear look, and come in a short version, too. They run large, so size down!

Mejuri Organic Pearl Hoops:  These pearl hoops are classic and timeless.  They can be dressed up for a night out, but are also perfect for everyday wear.  Elegant earrings at a very accessible price point!

Thymes Frasier Fir:  Hands down, this is the best Christmas-y scent out there.  It is very realistic – smells just like fresh-cut Christmas tree.  I use Frasier Fir in a Pura behind our faux Christmas tree and it smells like we have a real tree in the family room!  The candles are well-designed and long-lasting and make great hostess gifts.

Boll & Branch Signature sheet set:  This soft, classic sheet set somehow gets softer with each wash.  These sheets are the perfect weight – cozy and luxurious without being hot (and I would know – I sleep hot).

AG Jeans Mari Crop:  These jeans are not skinny, nor are they the ridiculous mom jeans that the youngsters are wearing these days 😉 They have a flattering, straight cut with a waist that is higher than mid-rise, but not super high.  I bought my usual size, but probably could have gone down a size.

Samplize paint samples:  I am a serial painter.  We paint a room, I love it, I want to repaint it 18 months later in just a slightly warmer/moodier/lighter/more saturated color.  These paint samples are a godsend to serial painters like me, or really anyone who is trying to choose a color.  Are they kind of a weird choice for a gift?  Yes.  But the serial painter in your life will feel seen.

Sonos Roam:  I adore this little speaker.  We own other Sonos speakers, and the sound quality on this one rivals its larger siblings.  I love that it’s battery-operated and small, so I can move it from room to room as I putter around, or bring it out to the deck or porch.

Le Creuset dutch oven:  Le Creuset is the LBD of dutch ovens — a timeless classic.  Perfect for simmering those hearty winter stews all day long.  I love this olive color.

Origins Plantscription serum:  There are so many great skincare lines out there, it can be overwhelming.  I enjoy trying new brands and products, but I always keep Origins products in my vanity.  This serum makes my skin look slightly lifted, but not in a tight or cadaver kind of way.  My skin also looks smoother and feels more hydrated when I use it.

Leave a comment with your favorite things to give (and receive)! Happy gifting!
