Inspiration

18 Jun

Hello, friends! It’s been a minute since I shared a designer in my One to Follow series. Today I’m highlighting Tiek Design Group, a home and interior architectural design firm based in Utah. Their portfolio showcases a range of design styles, from traditional colonial to interpretations of coastal and Tudor styles. There are elements that run through the various projects, from detailed millwork, to arches, to homes perfectly nestled into their sites to take advantage of stunning views. Scroll through for some eye candy!

exteriors

Tiek’s exteriors, while different styles, all include thoughtful architectural details and commanding presence.

The home above gladdens my symmetry-loving heart! Plus, those barrel-roofed dormers are just so cute.

Check out the railings above. Lovely attention to detail!

This backyard situation is to die for. Can you picture unwinding there with great company and a glass of Cabernet? The way the decks and patios flow down through the landscape almost make them seem as if they were always part of the land.

interiors

Tiek’s interiors are absolutely dreamy. They have a sense of timelessness and gravitas, without feeling stuffy or overdone. Details to note: beams, extensive millwork, arches, and killer lighting. I also appreciate the use of glass (windows and doors) to capitalize on views and natural light.

This wall of windows is amazing. It’s hard to imagine having a bad day after starting off with breakfast in that spot.

The millwork, arch, and built-ins create this cozy tub nook that feels like a destination — a perfect spot to relax with a good soak.

The entryway above is a lovely introduction to the home for guests, and the double glass doors share the stunning mountain view with those inside. And that kitchen! So elegant, yet so simple! It’s a classic example of the idea that great design and execution will always win out over ornate or trendy.

I hope you enjoyed this peek into the designs of Tiek Design Group. Don’t forget to check out their portfolio and follow them on social media. Looking for more inspiration from other talented designers? You can find additional One to Follow posts here.
