After our kitchen renovation was completed, something was bugging me. It didn’t take long to figure out what was wrong – the pantry doorknob. The existing lever was a dark aged brass, somewhere between aged brass and oil rubbed bronze. While I am a fan of mixing metals, it looked really out of place with all the bright brass in the new kitchen. So I ordered this pretty knob and made the switch!
What a difference! Sometimes it’s the little things…
A small change can make a huge impact. A while back, I wrote about replacing door and drawer hardware to update cabinets and furniture pieces. Because the details matter, even one or two small changes around your home can affect how you feel about a space. We don’t always have the time or financial resources to commit to a large project or new piece of furniture or art. It’s worth taking some time as we go through our homes to assess where there may be potential for a big return on a small investment.
